The Harmont & Blaine Autumn-Winter 2018 collection takes inspiration from a journey through time where a man seeks out elements that reconnect him to his roots and rediscovers old traditions, reworking this valuable legacy into a technological, urbanised and globalised world.

Entirely unfettered in its exploration of the years, design departs on an exhilarating journey through time, freely interpreting and rearranging all the elements of our heritage and recomposing them whilst working in future technology. Everything takes on a different and contemporary slant, without detracting from the laid-back signature elegance of the brand.

Details that evoke the fashion traditions of bygone times - such as the waiting-room wallpaper patterns - are used to enhance the shirt motifs whilst vintage overcoat fabrics and jacquards borrowed from 80s-knitwear are freely fused with a yarn-dyed ‘70s-inspired houndstooth which turns up on trousers and outerwear.

An unceasing ebb and flow of tradition and innovation is the hallmark of this marvellous journey through time that the Harmont & Blaine collection recreates.

A mishmash of new and old which is all the more apparent on the down jackets: the hi-tech activewear pieces are matched to mouliné sweaters with brightly coloured inserts and the usual quilt stitching found on classic down jackets has been replaced by heat-sealed seams that do not perforate the fabric. Comfort is the touchstone with this offering which features curated hi-tech details, meaning an overcoat can be readily slipped on over a jacket.

This kind of comfort takes the form of soft outperforming garments that will never let you down even when travelling, making sure you look your best even away from home.

The collection icon is the “Chino Italiano” - a pair of entirely Italian-made trousers crafted from a soft cotton/Tencel blend and available in 5 different shades, named with different Italian cities.

Three-tone Corozo buttons on the front fly, blue piping bearing “Harmont & Blaine” lettering on the right side and an inner waistband in midnight-blue jacquard emblazoned with the embroidered words: “Chino Italiano”.

The front pocket has been deftly cut to enhance its fine design and also boasts double-row stitching and bar-tacking on the opening. The upper section of the welt on the rear right-hand double-welt pocket has been made from herringbone-patterned cotton. One of the front belt loops also comes in blue herringbone in the same material as the inner waistband.

Carefully cut from comfortable cotton (with the addition of an elastane/lycra mix), they also boast a percentage of TENCEL made from cellulose fibres, lending resilience, breathability, moisture-wicking properties and a supremely soft texture.

Harmont & Blaine proudly present their Pedula box-sole shoe, designed to encapsulate the mood of the Autumn-Winter collection.

Available in 5 different colour variants, it features a sole which perfectly matches the upper in colour and boasts an ultra-lightweight EVA box sole sewn to the “Harmont & Blaine”-customised upper with an all-over effect on the tread and a detachable anti-bacterial insole covered in calfskin and endowed with an active-carbon filter.
